What is the laser ?
A laser is a device that transmits energy to the
target by the means of coherent monochromatic (
one colour ) light.
There are different lasers with different wavelengths
used for specific applications.
Opus White’s wavelength is tuned to activate the
tooth whitening procedure.
Tobacco, coffee, tea and tetracycline stains as
well as darkening due to aging can easily be treated.
What happens during the tooth
whitening procedure?
Your dentist will complete a thorough dental examination
of the enamel-staining pattern of your teeth before
starting the treatment.
After having covered your gums to protect them from
the chemicals, your dentist will apply tooth whitening
gel to your teeth.
The scanning laser beam penetrates deep into the
stains and detaches the particles from the tooth,
even the most stubborn ones ( deep and dark discolorations
)
The subsequent selected chemical reaction dissolves
the stains without affecting the enamel of the tooth.
Laser tooth whitening is a painless procedure and
side-effects are almost non-existent ( some patients
might experience a temporary sensitivity but this
is extremely rare).
Why should I choose laser tooth whitening treatment?
Most traditional tooth whitening methods require
trays to be worn several hours a day during at least
three weeks without always giving the expected results.
With Opus White, a significant improvement is noticeable
after only one session.
Opus White laser tooth whitening is effective and
fast.
It will dramatically improve the appearance of your
smile and with it your self-esteem.
